Welcome to The Carnoustie Bowling Club Website

Thank you for visiting our website we do hope you find it interesting.

Carnoustie Bowling Club was founded in 1875 and has been operating continuously at the same address since then. Although the clubhouse has undergone many changes over the years the green has changed very little apart from being upgraded to conform to the rules of the modern game. The green is still one of the biggest single greens in the area and can accommodate 8 full size rinks with space to spare. At 43 metres it is also one of the longest playing surfaces in this district.

The clubhouse is now a modern facility with a licensed capacity of 120 persons. There are also modern facilities including an accessible toilet, a full kitchen, changing rooms for both sexes as well as toilet facilities to match. As always there is the proverbial bar with a wide range of classic beverages (including non-alcoholic drinks). The clubhouse is available for functions, both for the bowling fraternity and other organisations, subject to availability and the agreement of the committee and the members.

Membership fees for this year are:

£140 for full membership (male): £100 for full membership (female): £30 for initial year for new members (individual): £50 for family membership (first year): £10 for associated members (not playing): £10 for junior members (under 16 years of age). A daily fee of £5 is charged for those wishing to avail themselves of the facilities for a game of bowls (visitors). If required, bowls and shoes are available at the clubhouse.

Malcolm Morrison is President of the Club for the coming year and Tom McLean is Vice President. Margaret Robertson takes the position of Ladies President.

The outdoor season for 2018 will commence on Saturday 7th April for the Gents and on Monday 9th April for the Ladies.

We wish everyone an enjoyable year.
