Welcome to the Carnoustie Bowling Club Open Tournament page for 2026. This year sees the 52nd open tournament and we will try our very best to replicate the reputation ( well earned ) we have nurtured for the last 50 odd years. As ever, the tournament is open to any player from the bowling fraternity who wishes to participate in a competition that can be both serious and friendly ( now that is a first for bowling )!! In the past we have had entries from local and national Scottish participants and the feedback has always been positive. 

If you fancy your chances, or just want to try your hand at an amateur competition then why not join us at Carnoustie Bowling Club from the 18thto the 25th July. The first Saturday and Sunday are used for the open pairs competition, the Monday usually sees the commencement of the ladies singles. the Wednesday sees the start of the gents singles. The Tuesday sees the start of the under 17’s and the under 20’s which are played over three days as a round robin competition. Semi finals are played on the Friday and Saturday sees the finals of all the competitions (hopefully ). If you wish to participate then you can enter either at the club or by filling in the online entry form attached below. Due to an unfortunate turn of events last year, we would ask that anyone who wishes to enter this years tournament pays the entry fee at the time of entering an application. The fees remain the same as last year. Entry fees can be paid either at the club by cash or cheque or by bank transfer.
